A 20 year old Mc Tominay has made its first Champions League entrance, beside Matic in the win over of 2-0 Benfica, on Tuesday at the Old Trafford. At the season ending, it was the sixth appearance of the middle-fielder for the first time after making through United Squad of Jose Mourinho. In recent weeks McTomainay had represented in midfield because of the absence of Marouane Fellaini and Paul Pogba, both of whom are sidelined due to injury. Probably on Sunday too when United will be facing the Chelsea, they will remain sidelined again. And it’s after the game Matic holds a belief that his new partner in the midfield will become a future “big star” at the Old Trafford.
Matic said to MUTV that he thinks Scott is going to be a greater player ahead who is already one great player now. He also said that he is young, strong, and very talented player.

He avows that he is the future star performer of Manchester United and he enjoyed sharing the same field with him as he is industrious too and is confident. He even claimed that he is going to help him in becoming a great player because he believes Scoot holds the potential of becoming a big star and a great player for Manchester United.

Matic said that after Tomainay’s performance against the Portuguese team he was truly impressed by his performance, and so he decided in mentoring this youngster to help him reach the peak where he deserves to be. McTominay is expected to return to the bench with Ander Herrera being back to team after only when he was named against Benifica among the substitutes.
